The new year brings a brand-new and very exciting opportunity for a diligent, driven and experienced Trainer/Educator and Facilitator to support our Home & Communities business unit as - Workplace Trainer. You will have the opportunity to identify, plan and manage education, support upskilling needs and facilitate training across all areas of community operations. With an initial focus on medication skill uplift through simulation and assessment with Community Workers, you will also drive planning and delivery of other training programs to enhance employee knowledge, skills and performance and reduce risk. Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager and supported by the talented L&D team, you will work closely with Regional and Business Managers and operational teams in this varied and hands on role. Your ability to engage and effectively influence across all areas of community operations, your curiosity to understand the business and passion for educating will be highly valued and critical to your success. Your days will include; Facilitate and deliver ongoing education and training to all employees, supporting compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards Develop training calendar/s and plans aligning with maintaining high compliance levels Coordinate and deliver selected induction training for new employees Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps and develop learning plans Supporting and mentoring employees, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment Building and assessing competencies to ensure compliance Utilise blended learning methods and adult learning principles to maximise engagement and capability uplift Monitor and report on compliance with training and onboarding plans, escalating issues as required Collaborate with managers, HR, and clinical teams to ensure training aligns with organisational needs The ideal applicant is a Registered Nurse who has found their passion in education and training in a community based operational setting. You will have exceptional communication skills, the ability to deliver engaging training and coaching, and be highly organised, in addition to; Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent Registered Nurse (AHPRA registration) - essential Demonstrated experience in facilitating/delivering education and training programmes - ideally within community based operational setting Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, Aged Care Legislation and Quality Standards Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Willingness to travel (planned travel) and obtain a police check Drivers Licence and vehicle – travel/km’s reimbursed Parking available Benefits Catholic Healthcare employees receive include; Additional leave days, salary packaging, fitness benefits, paid parental and family leave, and long service leave after five years!
