The Modern Workplace Team within CITEC delivers Microsoft Windows endpoint management and Microsoft 365 tenant management services to Queensland Government agencies. As an IT Support Consultant (Desktop), you will play a key role in providing desktop services to CITEC customers, contributing to projects and supporting enterprise IT environments. This role requires after-hours support availability and the ability to attend CITEC offices in Brisbane at short notice. Key Responsibilities:- Provide support for Microsoft products, including MECM, Intune, Azure, and O365.- Perform system administration activities and deliver reliable services to meet customer service levels.- Contribute to projects such as customer onboarding, architecture solutions and research into emerging technologies.- Assist in writing technical responses for RFIs and RFPs and participate in pre-sales activities like workshops, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.- Mentor junior staff, identify risks, and contribute to improvement initiatives.- Maintain and enhance technical skills through certification training and ongoing professional development. Technical Requirements:- Proficiency in MECM, including OS deployment, application packaging and software updates.- Experience in Active Directory (Group Policy Management), Windows 11 and Azure Virtual Desktops.- Ability to design, implement, and manage Intune-based modern endpoint management.- Expertise in ITSM/ITIL processes (e.g., change, incident, and problem management) using tools like ServiceNow.- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for policy deployment, app packaging, and reporting. Highly Regarded Skills:- Windows Server administration and Microsoft 365 tenant administration.- Experience migrating from MECM OSD to Autopilot and from GPOs to Intune policies.- Knowledge of Queensland or Australian Government ICT standards and cyber frameworks.
