Brisbane location Initial contract until 30th June 2026 with possible extension Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Data Analyst. This role offers the opportunity to work within a large, complex government environment, supporting high-level reporting, analytics and data-driven decision making. Reporting to a senior leader, you will play a key role in analysing procurement-related data, developing dashboards and reports, and providing insights that support operational and strategic outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders and contribute to whole-of-organisation reporting initiatives. Key responsibilities: Deliver high-quality reporting and data analysis to support decision-making at agency and broader government levels Research, analyse and interpret data to identify trends, insights and solutions to business issues Analyse complex datasets within enterprise data warehouses using SQL and related technologies Develop, maintain and enhance dashboards and reports using PowerBI Translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights using visual and graphical representations Respond to stakeholder data and reporting requests in a timely and professional manner Provide mentoring and guidance to staff in the development and use of PowerBI reports and dashboards About you: To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst in a complex environment Strong technical skills in SQL (including Microsoft SQL Server or similar technologies) Hands-on experience with PowerBI, including data modelling, DAX and dashboard development Experience working with data warehouses and relational databases A sound understanding of cloud-based environments (Azure highly regarded) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets Excellent communication skills and the ability to present insights to a range of stakeholders Experience mentoring or supporting others in reporting or BI tools (desirable) If you are a hands-on Data Analyst who thrives on solving business problems, building insightful dashboards and working with large, complex data sets, we want to hear from you.
