This position offers the opportunity to support meaningful advisory work that influences national disability policy and outcomes for people with disability, families and carers. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Director, Strategic Advice, you will provide secretariat and project support to an Independent Advisory Council and its reference groups. Providing secretariat and project support to advisory council members and the broader secretariat team Coordinating meetings, calendars, attendance records and meeting logistics Supporting travel, accommodation and venue bookings for council and reference group members Maintaining accurate records for sitting fees, expenditure and financial tracking Assisting with invoicing, purchase orders, procurement tasks and contract monitoring Drafting reports, tracking actions, advice and meeting outcomes Supporting members to access meetings, including basic technical troubleshooting Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in a culturally safe and accessible way YOUR REQUIREMENTS You possess Secretariat or Government experience Clear written communication skills, including the ability to write in plain English Confidence working with spreadsheets, calendars and Microsoft Office tools Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders An understanding of culturally safe approaches and accessibility considerations The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment YOUR PERKS Opportunity to contribute to nationally significant advisory work Supportive, collaborative team environment Flexible location options Meaningful work supporting First Nations voices and people with disability HOW TO APPLY If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and this sounds like the perfect opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
