The key duties of the position include From 1 December 2025 AIHW's organisational structure will change. The Corporate Strategy and Performance Division will be home to all AIHW corporate services. The Information and Communications Technology Group (ICTG) will be part of the Corporate Strategy and Performance Division. The ICTG is looking for an EL1 Delivery and Project Manager who will work in the IT Business Development and Delivery Unit. Given our work revolves around information and statistics and the presentation of statistics to promote better health and wellbeing, our projects have a significant dependency on data and ICT. Your main responsibilities will be to lead and manage delivery of projects to achieve business outcomes, from initiation through to closure, under the Institute's project management framework and in collaboration with business areas. You will be supported by business analysts, technical experts, and subject matter experts to deliver projects. To succeed in this role, you will have an excellent track record of delivering large and complex projects, be a great communicator and a team player. You will ideally have at least 5 years' experience in leading and managing delivery of projects and initiatives to deliver business outcomes in ICT and/or data driven organisations. Under limited direction, you will be responsible for: Leading delivery and managing projects with significant ICT and data components, including delivery of business outcomes and benefits, scope boundaries, schedules, quality and budgets. Coordinating teams to enable project delivery and transition into service. Developing project documentation and reporting progress on delivery Managing relationships and communicating effectively with all project stakeholders, overcome obstacles to delivery through collaboration, communication, problem solving and negotiation Overseeing procurements and tenders and managing contracts resulting from procurement as they relate to project delivery Identifying and managing risks and overseeing the implementation of risk mitigation plans Conducting project reviews and creating reports for executive staff and project boards.
