About the RoleThe Senior Correspondence Officer will assist the Principal Communications Officer in prioritising and coordinating the flow of correspondence to ensure efficient and timely preparation of departmental briefs and correspondence.You will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following: Coordinate the distribution, tracking and flow of briefings and correspondence, in consultation with divisional officers, to successfully finalise competing priorities. Manage a busy mailbox and prioritise workload in order to meet predetermined timeframes. Draft written materials and conduct quality assurance checks for the approval of senior officers, to provide support to the nominated Executive. Ensure that briefings and correspondence are prepared in accordance with the department's Style Guide and Ministerial and Executive Services Guidelines. Establish and maintain strong working relationships and networks, with clients and departmental officers, to foster a positive culture of inclusive behaviours and exceptional service delivery. Search electronic and paper records, including the department's electronic document records management system, to promptly and efficiently source information and documents required by stakeholders. What You Need to Succeed: Understands the work environment and has high level skills in researching, preparing and editing briefs and correspondence, with the ability to adhere to required organisational standards. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, maintain positive relationships and achieve successful outcomes within a pressured environment and under specific deadlines. High level of knowledge and proven ability to work within the processes and systems used to manage a large volume of executive documents while maintaining confidentiality.
