With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced casual Health Information Manager / Clinical Coder to join the HIS Clinical Coding team.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: The HIM/Clinical coder is responsible for the clinical coding and casemix processes of Northern Health admitted episodes.  To be successful in this role you will have: Bachelor of Health Information Management (Health Information Manager) or successful completion of a recognised Australian coding course Proven current or previous experience in a Health Information Manager/Clinical coding role is essential across a variety of casemix A minimum of 2 yearsâ experience in clinical coding at a tertiary level Literacy in IT systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Next Steps . . .  If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
