About the role: Reporting to the Applications Manager, the Application Scientist is responsible for the implementation, optimisation and rollout of new analytical services using Chrysos’ PhotonAssay™ technology. This role plays a key role in validating the performance of new services and associated reference materials as well as in developing calibration, monitoring and quality-control protocols. What you will do: Oversee additional service calibrations within the APAC/EMEA region (Ag, Cu, Moisture, Solutions, etc.) Coordinate the addition of new CRMs for client monitoring by working with CRM suppliers, on-site PhotonAssay™ teams and laboratories to run testwork and roll them out Coordinate the determination and monitoring/review of CRM gross mass ranges Assist in the specification, design and rollout of additional PhotonAssay™ services Assist with the roll-out and calibration of new equipment in support of PhotonAssay™ services (e.g GR1FT, XRF) Assist in the auditing, stocktaking and distribution of calibration materials to PhotonAssay™ sites Assist in review of instrument calibration prior to feasibility studies and in the QC of FS data after it is collected Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation surrounding new service/equipment implementation processes Contribute to the development of additional services through continuous improvement in calibration approaches Support the on-going performance review and enhancement of additional services for PhotonAssay™ remotely Contribute to a culture that values collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning and development for all staff. Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualisation, with the ability to derive actionable insights. Flexible and proactive approach to work, willing to take on a wide range of responsibilities beyond core role expectations. Creative and inventive in addressing complex problems, comfortable navigating ambiguity and open-ended challenges.
