About the role: This role is a senior, strategic People & Culture Business Partner responsible for partnering with the Finance, Development, and Global Growth functions across Chrysos. It is designed as a global-facing role, operating across time zones and geographies, and requires strong commercial acumen, organisational maturity, and relationship skills. The role complements the existing PCP partnering model, working alongside the Global P&C Partnering Lead – Operations, who leads operations business partnering and strategy implementation. This position focuses on enabling performance, growth capability, and leadership effectiveness across corporate and innovation-led functions. While the role is designed to operate at a senior level, it is expected that the Business Partner will operate across the full employee lifecycle, particularly during periods of scale, transition, or where no junior support exists. The role requires strong judgement to balance hands-on delivery with system design, coaching, and risk management. In addition to core business partnering responsibilities, the role holds functional accountability for APAC awards and employment compliance and plays a key role in the design, governance, and long-term maturity of the offshore P&C support model, enabling scale while protecting quality, compliance, and executive leverage. What you will do: Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Finance, Development, and Global Growth, supporting strategy execution, operating rhythm, and leadership effectiveness. Translate business strategy into people, capability, and organisational plans that enable scale and performance. Partner with leaders across the full employee lifecycle, applying judgement to determine when to personally deliver, coach leaders, or redesign systems. Support leaders to define and embed clear performance expectations aligned to Chrysos’ performance framework. Provide performance management guidance across the full spectrum, including coaching, disciplinary processes, and development actions, where complexity or risk requires senior involvement. Lead or oversee employee relations matters and workplace investigations where seniority, sensitivity, or risk requires, ensuring fairness, procedural integrity, and sound outcomes. APAC Awards, Compliance & People Risk: Act as the primary subject matter expert for APAC employment frameworks, including awards interpretation, classification, minimum conditions, and statutory obligations. Interpret and apply employment instruments, policies, and frameworks in real-world business contexts, balancing compliance, consistency, and commercial outcomes. Monitor legislative and industrial relations changes across APAC, proactively assessing impacts and recommending actions. Act as an escalation point for complex APAC employment, compliance, and people risk matters. Enterprise Contribution: Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer on APAC people risk and compliance matters. Collaborate closely with the Global P&C Partnering Lead (Operations) to ensure clarity of remit and seamless partnering. Contribute to People & Culture strategy, operating model evolution, and capability uplift across the function. Who you are: Essential Significant experience in a senior HR / P&C advisory or business partnering role. Strong expertise in APAC employment law, awards, and industrial relations frameworks. Demonstrated experience advising on complex employee relations and compliance matters. Experience operating in multi-jurisdictional or global environments. Strong judgement, executive presence, and influencing capability. Ability to design, govern, and mature scalable operating models. Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Law, Business, or a related discipline Desirable Experience in mining or laboratory environments Experience working with offshore or shared service models. Exposure to high-growth, technical, or industrial environments. Experience contributing to enterprise-level P&C strategy or governance. Pragmatic, commercially minded, and risk-aware. Confident operating with ambiguity and incomplete information. Strong systems thinker with attention to detail and quality.
