Senior Mechanical Engineer – Perth (12-Month Contract) We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a Perth-based secondment on a major underground gold mining project. This office-based role offers direct exposure to the client’s project team, focusing on a new refrigeration package for underground mine shaft conditioning. Key Responsibilities: Act as project/package engineer for the refrigeration system Liaise with vendors and maintain budget & schedule control Conduct tender evaluation and review technical documentation Consolidate technical comments and manage changes Contribute to Definitive Feasibility Study, including capital estimates and schedules Candidate Requirements: Recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering Eligible for Engineers Australia membership Minimum 10 years’ mechanical engineering experience Experience in underground mining projects Experience with refrigeration systems Proven track record as a package/project engineer and managing engineering service providers Details: Perth-based, office role 12-month contract Competitive rate: $115–$125/hr Excellent exposure to client-side decision-making, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams Start: ASAP
