Engineering Trades Australia (ETA) is representing a well-established WA gold mining operation seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join their site-based maintenance team on a permanent FIFO basis. This is a hands-on supervisory role overseeing mechanical trades, contractors, and ancillary personnel across critical fixed plant assets. This role is well suited to a trade-qualified Mechanical Supervisor with strong fixed plant experience who enjoys being visible in the field and driving safe, reliable plant performance. About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with site standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor mechanical trades, contractors, and support personnel Supervise maintenance of crushers, mills, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and auxiliary equipment Plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance activities Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and regulatory requirements Issue permits and ensure works are completed within WHS standards Support asset reliability, plant performance, and continuous improvement initiatives Work closely with operations, engineering, and procurement teams Ensure all personnel are inducted, trained, and competent prior to commencing work About You You will bring strong mechanical knowledge, proven leadership capability, and a safety-first mindset within a mining or heavy industry environment. We’re looking for: Trade qualification (Mechanical / HD Fitter / Boilermaker or similar) Proven experience supervising mechanical teams in mining or heavy industry Strong exposure to fixed plant maintenance and fault finding Solid planning, scheduling, and people leadership skills Confident, hands-on leadership style with strong safety focus Mandatory Requirements Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor , including: BSBWHS411 – Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs BSBWHS414 – Contribute to WHS risk management Minimum 2 years’ mechanical supervisory experience in mining or heavy industry Why Join This Operation?
