An unique opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Voluntary Assisted Dying Navigation Service to join Community and Preventative Health. Voluntary Assisted Dying Navigation Service (VAD-Nav) is comprised of a small team that coordinate a voluntary assisted dying community of practice with key SCH stakeholders, community stakeholders and private medical providers to ensure a seamless, equitable and responsive service. Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Key Responsibilities include: Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position including a working knowledge of The Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2021 and the Queensland Government's Voluntary Assisted Dying Handbook Version 1.0 July 2022. Implement advanced communication skills with patients, families and other service stakeholders in the context of death and dying. Train and practice as a voluntary assisted dying administering practitioner. Demonstrate evidence of prior learning and competency in Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation. Remuneration value up to $13 684 p.m., comprising salary between $5,081.10 - $5,516.60 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NG7) (Fixed Term Temporary position available for 12 months).
