About us: The Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health Service (BBV&SH) is based in Rockhampton and provides assessment, screening, diagnosis and treatment, as well as education and health promotion to communities within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). The service has an identified focus on at-risk population groups whose behaviours or social disadvantages may place them at greater risk of contracting a blood borne virus (BBV) or sexually transmissible infection (STI). About the role: Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the BBV&SH Service. Deliver high standards of clinical and non-clinical services to individuals, families and stakeholders in the Central Queensland region. Undertake community education and health promotion related to sexual health for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Central Queensland region. Actively participate in developing strategies and contribute to key performance indicators aimed at monitoring and reducing rates of sexually transmissible infections within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. About you: Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.1 to HWF3.5 requires: Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Appointment, and future increment progression, between paypoints HWF3.2 to HWF3.7, or HWF3.8 (limited to employees who meet the requirements of HED 04/23) requires: Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Qualifications in health promotion would be highly regarded. Recent experience working in the field of Sexual Health would be highly regarded.
