The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. Salary: $138,631 - $185,518 (Plus Superannuation of 12%) Ongoing role Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions are available) Usual work location: East Melbourne The Corporate Services Division is responsible for providing information services to the community and supporting the VCAA in assurance and improvement, communications, finance, human resources, technology infrastructure and procurement. As the key enablers of the operations of the VCAA, Corporate Services identifies whole-of-organisation risks and opportunities and continually improves to build stronger connections between people, systems and processes. Role purpose The Manager People Strategy and Conduct is responsible for leading and coordinating the organisation's strategic workforce planning and human resources policies. Their strategic insights will support the leadership team and drive best practices in people and culture management. The role will lead the design, development and delivery of people and culture policy and initiatives aimed at enhancing workforce performance, employee engagement and workplace culture. The incumbent will work closely and collaboratively with senior management and business areas to design and deliver tailored and effective workforce strategies. The Manager HR Policy and Conduct is also responsible for overseeing and coordinating investigations and the management of complaints. Working closely with the Department of Education, the Manager provides quality advice and support to key decision-makers, fostering informed choices and strategic actions. The Manager HR Policy and Conduct is additionally expected to: provide expert guidance on general conduct matters, ensuring timely support in addressing legal complexities, facilitating informed decision-making, and effectively managing risks. ensure development of and regulatory compliance with HR policies and relevant awards. Leading the management and review of HR policies and providing guidance to staff. lead the Occupational Health and Safety requirements for the organisation, including the coordination and leadership of staff representatives. This role also coordinates the VCAA's facility management.
