With operations now in full swing and thriving, a new opportunity exists for an experienced operational leader or senior project manager, to join the team and oversee end-to-end delivery, coordination and performance of residential solar and battery installation projects at a national level. The National Installation Manager will act as the bridge between operations, contractors and internal teams, providing oversight, structure and accountability across installation delivery, whilst relying on the technical team for hands on technical guidance. Key Responsibilities 1. Installation Delivery Oversight (Not Day-to-Day Technical Support) Own national residential installation delivery outcomes (timelines, quality, customer impact). Ensure installation processes align with company standards, compliance frameworks, and operational targets. Escalate and resolve delivery risks in collaboration with the Tech Lead and Operations Manager. Maintain accountability for project flow rather than providing live on-site technical troubleshooting. 2. Contractor & Capacity Management Oversee installer capacity across states to ensure alignment with weekly and monthly installation forecasts. Onboard and find new installers australia wide Identify capacity gaps early and recommend solutions such as onboarding additional crews or reallocating workloads. Maintain strong contractor relationships focused on performance, reliability, and quality outcomes. Monitor contractor performance metrics and address underperformance where required. 3. Internal Team Collaboration Work closely with the Tech Lead and Technical Team, clearly delineating responsibilities between technical delivery and operational oversight. Coordinate with design, scheduling, and customer teams to ensure smooth handover between sales, design, and install. Act as an escalation point for operational issues that sit outside day-to-day technical support. 4. Commercial & Cost Control Oversight Review and approve installation variations, additional works, and scope changes in line with commercial frameworks. Oversee contractor invoicing accuracy against agreed scopes and rates. Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce install costs, rework, and delays. 5. Process, Performance & Continuous Improvement Drive standardisation of installation workflows nationally. Identify systemic bottlenecks and implement scalable operational improvements. Provide clear reporting on install performance, capacity, and risks to senior management. What We’re Looking For Proven project management or leadership experience in operations, preferably in renewable energy, construction, or related industries. Strong understanding of how residential solar and battery projects are delivered end-to-end. Strong stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external contractors. Ability to lead through influence rather than direct technical instruction. Calm, decisive, and structured approach to problem-solving. High level of organisation, prioritisation, and visibility over multiple concurrent workstreams. Experience working with CRMs, job management platforms, and scheduling systems.
