The Justice Reinvestment team is responsible for implementing the Government's commitment to support up to thirty community-led justice reinvestment initiatives through the National Justice Reinvestment Program and the Justice Reinvestment Central Australia program. The design and implementation of the justice reinvestment programs is underpinned by the Government's commitment to working in partnership with First Nations stakeholders in line with Priority Reform 1 of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap (National Agreement). Leading the Justice Reinvestment team, you will work closely with a range of First Nations stakeholders including peak organizations, communities and other government agencies to ensure the successful delivery of justice reinvestment initiatives. In addition to delivering the justice reinvestment programs, the team has responsibility for justice reinvestment strategic policy. The Justice Reinvestment commitments are a high priority for the Government. The successful applicant will need to be agile, proactive, and work collaboratively with stakeholders and across teams in the Branch and across governments. Our ideal candidate will lead strongly, be able to manage priorities that shift quickly, have strong written and verbal communication skills, grants program experience as well as stakeholder and/or engagement skills. Candidates may be required to travel to support First Nations communities delivering justice reinvestment initiatives.
