Your new role: As our Nurse Manager, Capability Development, you will play a pivotal leadership role strengthening clinical disaster, emergency and continuity management capability across Metro South Health. In this role, you will: Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of clinical disaster and emergency management programs across all hospitals and facilities. Coordinate service-wide workforce training and exercising, including clinical capability assessments and annual training needs analysis. Provide expert clinical liaison and advisory support during incident management and emergency operations, including after-hours response when required. Drive clinical business continuity planning, ensuring services can maintain safe, high-quality care during disruption. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external agencies, representing Metro South Health in multi-agency exercises, committees and forums. About you: You are a confident, strategic and collaborative clinical leader, committed to enhancing disaster readiness and supporting teams to deliver safe, high-quality care in complex and evolving situations. You will bring: Advanced disaster, emergency or mass-casualty clinical knowledge, with experience applying evidence-based approaches to planning, training and service improvement. Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and build capability across multidisciplinary teams. Strong analytical, reporting and governance skills, with the ability to manage quality systems, assess risk and translate lessons into practice. High-level communication and education skills, including experience developing and delivering bespoke clinical training packages or exercises. Unit Profile Metro South Health's (MSH) Disaster and Emergency and Continuity Management function is responsible for developing, and working across the health service to implement, effective disaster and emergency, incident, risk and business continuity management programs. This includes coordinated planning, training and exercising activities and incident management and emergency operations centre capability during response and recovery, in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders and across all administrative and clinical areas of operation.
