About the Job We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Trainer to join a leading Australian dealer group in the heavy vehicle industry. This is a crucial role focused on driving technical excellence across multiple regional locations, reporting directly to the Training Manager. If you are passionate about heavy vehicle servicing and committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact. You can be based anywhere in QLD, however ideal locations include South-East QLD, Townsville or Central QLD. The ideal candidate will be either an experienced trainer/assessor or an experienced mechanic who is looking to take this exciting step off the tools and into a mentorship style role. You will ensure all training programs align with organizational and industry standards while staying current with emerging technologies in the field. Regular travel to various dealership sites is a requirement for this position. Role Responsibilities: Design, deliver, and evaluate tailored technical training programs. Facilitate sessions, webinars, workshops, and one-on-one coaching. Provide on-the-job training and dealership support. Collaborate with key industry partners on content development. Guide staff through digital learning platforms. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Trainer in the heavy vehicle sector. High technical knowledge of multiple leading heavy vehicle brands. Relevant heavy vehicle technical qualification. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel regularly across regional areas. Previous exposure to Trucks in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position. Candidates who have experience with brands such as Kenworth, Volvo, Western Star, MAN, Mercedes Benz Trucks, Fuso, Iveco, Hino, Isuzu, Scania, Freightliner or similar are strongly encouraged to apply. A competitive salary package is on offer, including a base salary of around $115,000 to $125,000 (negotiable) for the right candidate, plus a potential bonus, company car, phone, and laptop.
