Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced Account / Contract Manager to oversee the delivery of integrated facilities and project services at a high-profile heritage site. Reporting directly to the Contract Director, you will manage KPIs, budgets, and client relationships while supporting a close-knit contract team. The ideal candidate is a former trade professional or facilities manager with strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and experience in heritage, museum, or sensitive asset environments. You are proactive, solutions-focused, and thrive in a public-facing, dynamic setting. Key Responsibilities - Manage delivery of contractual obligations and ensure all KPIs are achieved. - Lead, mentor, and supervise the contract team, including internal staff and subcontractors. - Oversee financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, invoicing, and approvals. - Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term client relationships while identifying new business opportunities. - Ensure compliance with BGIS business systems, OHS&E policies, and regulatory standards. - Collaborate with HFM to implement sustainability initiatives and align with technical and market standards. - Foster a positive and cohesive team environment through open communication and accountability. Education, Experience & Skills Essential: - Proven experience managing integrated Property, Facilities, Project, and Financial Management services. - Strong leadership skills with experience managing medium to large teams and subcontractors. - Technical knowledge from trade experience or prior facilities management roles. - Strong business acumen including financial management, contract negotiation, and client engagement. - Qualifications in Property, Commerce, Business, or related disciplines; additional facilities/project management qualifications advantageous. Desirable: - Experience in heritage, museum, gallery, or sensitive asset environments. - Knowledge of QA, OH&S, and environmental systems. - Advanced business planning and sustainability awareness. - Industry-recognised certifications in Building/Facilities Management or related fields.
