The Role: We’re seeking a tertiary-qualified and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record delivering complex projects valued over $5M. The ideal candidate will bring 5 years of experience, particularly in high-security environments, including work with federal government agencies, defense clients, and sensitive infrastructure projects. As Project Manager, you’ll work closely with company leadership and be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of allocated projects - overseeing safety, program, commercial, and quality outcomes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. A solid understanding of construction methodologies and the ability to resolve complex site issues is essential. You’ll be supported by a committed site/project team and senior management, and will be expected to lead with confidence, communicate effectively, and drive results. Desired Experience: On-site commercial construction project management, including contract administration Experience managing projects in secure environments (e.g., defense, federal government, critical infrastructure) Strong understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements Pre- and post-contract negotiation skills at both Head Contract and Subcontract levels Financial management including cash flow, cost reporting, forecasting, and claims Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes WHS and safety compliance and reporting Team leadership and client liaison skills Professionalism, integrity, and adaptability across diverse stakeholder groups Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office Suite, and willingness to learn project-specific software What You’ll Bring: Degree or Diploma in Building & Construction Management (or equivalent experience) General Induction Card, Asbestos Awareness Certificate, WHS Risk Management Certificate 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering high-value commercial projects Demonstrated experience in high-security, government, or defense-related projects Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Proficiency in project management systems (e.g., Vista by Viewpoint) Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance Ready to build your future with Manteena?
