About your opportunity: Continually monitors and actively patrols the designated clinical areas and proactively engages patients, visitors and staff to develop a positive safety culture. Develops relationships and maintains rapport with clinical and operational stakeholder groups (i.e. Nursing, Medical, Social Work, Mental Health, Occupational Therapy, Security and volunteers) to effective communication and contribute to the development of appropriate support and/or intervention strategies. Immediately identifies any concerns or observations relating to obvious changes to the apparent health of patients and or visitors (i.e. loss of consciousness, dizziness, obvious laboured or difficult breathing, unresponsiveness, etc.) in the area. Reports observed and suspected security concerns to site security and/or the QPS as appropriate but does not directly engage in security related interventions unless necessary to provide for the safety of another person.
