Description The Senior Accountant will be looking after monthly financial reporting, accounting and reconciliations relating to General Ledger, fixed assets, leases, accounts receivable and any other Finance control department functions as and when required for Redpath Australian and Offshore entities. This position is an integral part of the team and requires the commitment to take full responsibility of accounting and reporting functions. Responsibilities Prepare & review monthly and quarterly financial reports including variance analysis for Head Office reporting for Redpath Australian and Offshore entities. Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and GRASP. Complete monthly Balance Sheet, subledgers and InterCompany reconciliations. Assist with annual statutory accounts preparation for submission to ASIC. Liaise with the external auditors by providing all requested information on timely basis. Complete Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys as required. Daily review and posting of journal entries, approval of suppliers’ payment runs. Prepare and submit weekly Cash forecast and AR reports to Head Office. Manage equipment leases and fixed assets accounting. Assist Group Reporting Manager and Financial Controller with the ad hoc tasks as and when required. Assist Tax manager when required with Tax effect accounting, Income tax returns, FBT and similar tax compliances. Contribute to system improvements and changes. Qualifications CA/CPA or equivalent. 5 years’ experience in similar role with knowledge of consolidated company accounting & reporting in large organizations including exposure to AASB 3, 15 and 16. Exposure to group management reporting would be preferable. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to maintain and create new models. Experience with major ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Essbase and Pronto. High attention to detail to maintain high standard of accuracy and integrity in all reports. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Organized, pro-active and able to take initiative.
