As an Investment Manager , you will lead the strategic direction of the asset and drive investment performance through active management. You will manage asset planning, valuations, and performance strategies while working closely with a dynamic team of leasing, operations, development, property management and fund management professionals. Key responsibilities: Formulate and deliver Strategic Asset Plans and Operating Budgets. Drive investment performance through strategic initiatives and calculated risk management. Identify and execute value add opportunities through implementing active management strategies. Manage quarterly and annual valuations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with QIC’s investment goals. Lead stakeholder engagement, chair key meetings, and provide clear direction to internal and external teams. Manage, mentor and develop an Investment Analyst, fostering a culture of excellence and care. Build and maintain strong relationships across a large team of Property Management, Operations, Development and Fund Managers. Proactively collaborate with fund managers, operations, and development teams to optimise returns and identify growth opportunities Maintain a dynamic asset returns model, using valuation software. Essential Criteria: Minimum 5 years as an Investment Manager (or equivalent senior role). Strong valuations background – experience in managing valuations and investment performance is essential. Proven ability to manage large-scale assets and property investments Deep understanding of retail investment management and shopping centres is preferred, candidates with established property investment backgrounds in other asset classes may be considered. Expertise in occupancy cost analysis, sales performance, and asset value drivers. High-level commercial acumen and strategic thinking. Expertise in early identification of risk and opportunity and proven ability to translate into value creation. Proven ability in the management of assets through development lifecycles Ability to lead and mentor a small team while collaborating with a broader group. Competency in the use of Forbury, Anaplan, Power BI, Salesforce and Microsoft applications. Demonstrates deep market understanding and strong networking skills, with an external-facing approach Ability to develop and clearly communicate sound business case recommendations, supported by evidence, analysis and well-reasoned justification. Experience in lease review and negotiation, with proven ability to manage agreements and outcomes involving major tenants. Knowledge of the Victorian property investment market and regulatory environment, including Retail Leases Act.
