THE ROLE The role leads a specialist team that provides operational policy, advice and assurance to ensure the financial sustainability and integrity of public housing rent and revenue systems. It plays a key role in improving consistency and transparency of rent setting and rebate processes, embedding system improvements, and supporting operational teams to deliver accurate, fair and timely outcomes for renters. This includes responding to audit recommendations, contributing to future financial management, developing financial models and projections and reporting, and improving policy and settings to support renters in reducing arrears. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of the public housing rent review, including oversight of data accuracy, reporting, and assurance processes. Provide authoritative operational policy advice and guidance on rent setting, rent rebates, service charges and related revenue functions. * Establish and communicate a clear vision and direction for the Housing Revenue team, setting priorities and work plans that balance compliance, reform and service delivery.
