Our philosophy is that every person should be afforded dignity and respect and that no one should be without a safe, affordable, and secure home. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. About the role As a Case Worker, this is your opportunity to provide high quality case management and support to clients accessing services at The Salvation Army (TSA) Corps, Katherine. The role works closely with clients to implement case plans that have been developed in conjunction with the client, to meet their assessed needs. Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Katherine, NT. How you will make an impact Ensuring clients accessing the service are provided with a welcoming and responsive initial contact. Establishing effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation. Building a positive rapport with the client base and community by being involved in the programs that occur on site. Ensuring clients are supported to address urgent and immediate needs within the drop in centre space. Implementing and reviewing client’s case plans in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice What you will bring Certificate IV or above qualifications in community services or similar and/or extensive, demonstrated previous experience working in a similar position. Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language What you will bring - Ability to work in a culturally responsive and respectful manner with First Nations peoples and communities. NT Working with Children Check. National Police check. A current driver’s license.
