Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fibreglass Technician to join our small dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and laminating fibreglass products in various techniques, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Fabrication : Apply fibreglass materials and resins to molds, ensuring precise layering and curing. Some exposure to using vacuum infusion techniques, cutting materials such as fibreglass and vacuum bagging would be highly regarded. Lamination : Use hand lay-up and other lamination techniques to create durable, high-quality fibreglass products. Mould Preparation : Prepare and maintain molds for fibreglass production, ensuring they are clean and in good condition. Manufacturing molds, jigs and fixtures as required in the development of processes for new and existing products. Quality Control : Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Fibreglass Technician or similar role would be an advantage. Strong knowledge, or solid willingness to use your other work experiences to develop your knowledge of fibreglass materials, resins, and application techniques. Including trimming and sanding. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. First Aid Certificate desirable. Will be provided to a suitable candidate in time. Forklift license desirable. Will be provided to a suitable candidate in time. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications would be an advantage. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various positions. Commitment to safety and quality. Have full Australian working rights. Knowledge of mold preparation and maintenance. Experience handling resins and other hazardous materials Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
