Overview: Property Services Group is responsible for managing the University's estate. Comprising 109 buildings across RMIT’s Australian campuses in the City, Brunswick, Bundoora, Point Cook and Bendigo, the University’s land holding is 67.3 hectares with a book value exceeding $3B. PSG is formally certified and externally audited against five ISO standards. Alignment to these international standards provides greater assurance of our service delivery outcomes to our students, staff, contractors, and other stakeholders. This paid casual student role is based within the Asset Management Team in Property Services. The team has received multiple industry innovation awards across both the higher education and facilities management sectors. This placement offers an exciting opportunity for RMIT students pursuing studies in Engineering, Surveying, or Science to acquire invaluable industry insights, expand their professional network, and gain practical experience that could potentially pave the way for future employment opportunities. In this role, you will be working in a high-performing team to: Conduct large-scale building fabrics condition assessments across all three campuses. Participate in operational handover processes within Property Services delivery. Learn and use the computerised maintenance management system. Acquire best practices in facilities and asset management processes.
