Female Disability Support Worker – Ongoing Shifts | Client with Spinal Cord Injury Location: Blacktown Employment Type: Casual, ongoing shifts About the Role: We’re looking for a reliable and experienced FEMALE Disability Support Worker to join our team and support our client, who has a spinal cord injury and uses a wheelchair. The ideal candidate will be proactive, respectful, and confident in providing personal and complex care supports, with strong communication skills and fluency in English. Shift: Mondays & Tuesdays: 7:30am – 10:30am and 12:00pm – 2:00pm Fridays: 9:00pm – 11:00pm Saturdays: 9:00pm – 11:00pm These shifts are ongoing and regular. Key Responsibilities: Peristeen bowel care (training provided by client’s RN) Catheter care Personal care: showering, grooming, drying, dressing Domestic assistance: light cleaning and meal preparation Community access: accompanying client to the grocery store and outings Requirements: MUST have own car and Comprehensive Car insurance Experience with bowel care (essential) Strong English communication skills Ability to work independently and follow care plans NDIS Worker Screening Check Current First Aid and CPR certificate Working with Children Check - Employee Pay Rates E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL) SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax): Base hourly rate: $35.15 Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67 Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37 Saturday: $49.21 Sunday: $63.27 Public holiday: $77.33 If you are an experienced and compassionate Support Worker who meets the above criteria, we’d love to hear from you.
