About the role As a Technical Lead – Civil & Structural Design, you’ll provide expert guidance and assurance across Endeavour Energy’s civil and structural engineering activities. You’ll ensure our designs meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance, while driving innovation and value for our customers. Your work will contribute directly to Endeavour Energy’s strategic goals, including DTG2035 and the broader energy transition. Key accountabilities Provide expert technical leadership and assurance across all civil and structural design deliverables, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, codes, and governance frameworks. Drive innovation and continuous improvement, promoting practical, safe, and value-engineered design solutions. Collaborate across teams and with external consultants to ensure alignment, quality, and constructability in all design outputs. Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence, professional growth, and a culture of learning. About you You’re a collaborative and solutions-driven engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality, practical, and technically robust designs. With 7–10 years’ experience in civil or structural engineering, ideally within the electricity, utilities, or infrastructure sectors, you bring a strong foundation in governance, assurance, and design compliance. You’re comfortable influencing others without direct authority, skilled at balancing technical excellence with commercial practicality, and motivated by the opportunity to play a key role in the energy transition. You’ll also bring: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, ideally a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation (or working towards it). Proven experience applying Australian Standards and engineering codes to complex design projects. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. A mindset focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and value for the customer.
