The story of Toby's Estate began in 1997, in the grungy streets of Woolloomooloo, armed with Mum’s garage, a beat-up coffee roaster and passion on tap, we set out on a wild adventure of business and coffee discovery. Not concerned with the frills of it all, but just that we were consistently consistent in roasting the tastiest coffee we could and treating all the people in our world like family. Fast forward 27 years we’re an energetic team and merry band of misfits united by a common passion for doing amazing things, and at the forefront of pushing the limits of premium specialty coffee. As our State Sales Manager, you'll become the engine of our growth - a dynamic leader who will steer our sales team, amplify our brand's presence, and tap into new realms of opportunities. Leverage your well-honed network, savvy commercial insights, and collaborative partnership focus to enhance profitability and forge strong industry connections. Albeit this is a senior role, it is equally a doing-and-delivery role. You’ll often find yourself moving between the strategic and the operational space – helping to shape the bigger picture while also rolling up your sleeves to ensure delivery. With two Territory Managers supporting, you’ll also spend some time coaching, collaborating, and enabling them to deliver at pace while lifting capability across the team. Your mission goes beyond the numbers - it’s rooted in genuine customer engagement, where your presence fosters trust and delivers thoughtful support whenever challenges arise. Your profile: Whether you're a proven Sales Manager or an up-and-coming leader in the field, you’re an energetic, results-driven sales professional who thrives in a competitive, fast-paced environment. You have an ability to deliver value that extends far beyond the product and can brew coffee, host coffee events and work a coffee machine with confidence! And the rest… You’ll bring proven expertise in lead generation, new business acquisition, and skilled negotiation skills to drive growth and close deals. Standout communication skills - clear, concise, adaptable, and authentic, able to engage stakeholders at every level. High emotional intelligence - resilient, self-aware, and positive, with the ability to manage long-term customer relationships and navigate complexity with balance. What’s on offer? Joining a coffee business like UCC provides exciting learning opportunities that allow you to delve into the world of coffee, expand your knowledge, and immerse yourself in the rich heritage and expertise associated with our network. You'll have a flexible working arrangement that allows you to balance your work from our cafe and the road. We also support your wellbeing by offering recharge leave, an initiative that provides our team 5 additional days off annually to rest, refuel and recharge. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Melbourne. This is your chance to brew a legacy. We can't wait to see what you bring to the table!
