About the Role: As the Manager People & Culture , you will lead and shape the HR, OHS and OD functions, combining strategic insight with hands-on expertise. You'll support both your team and the broader organisation in driving a workplace where people and culture thrive. As an integral member in the organisation's senior leadership team and the Culture and Capability directorate, your key responsibilities will include: Lead the implementation of Council's People Strategy, shaping the future of our people and culture functions. Provide strategic leadership and coaching to the People & Culture team and Leadership Team to build capability and support our people. Champion Council's values and culture, ensuring they're embedded across the organisation. Drive improvement through contemporary practices, systems and processes. Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Leadership Team and CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee on complex people matters. Lead with empathy and influence, building a high-performing, values-based workplace. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Fair Work Act. Build strong networks and stay across best practice in people and culture. About You - Your Success Profile: Leadership experience in a human resources role in a large and complex organisation. A professional leader demonstrating positive work behaviours with a genuine commitment to the organisation's values. Demonstrated evidence of leading and embedding significant people and culture change initiatives. Experience in successful execution of processes and system enhancements to improve outcomes. A contemporary and innovative leader with the proven ability to develop individual growth and a healthy team dynamic. High level of business acumen with the ability to work across a diverse range of services. A courageous and values-based leader, capable of developing and leading new thinking and practice within your portfolio area. Tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, or Organisational Development would be highly regarded for this role. Experience working within a large, complex or similar environment would be necessary.
