About the Position This full-time Sous Chef role offers $80K super and a balanced roster in a supportive team environment. Leongatha is a friendly rural township surrounded by rolling hills, beaches nearby, and all the essentials for a relaxed regional lifestyle. You'll be the second in charge in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day operations, menu execution, team leadership, and maintaining food quality and safety standards. Position Description Assist in running daily kitchen operations in a busy bistro setting Supervise and mentor junior kitchen team members Ensure food consistency, quality, and presentation across all services Contribute to menu planning and specials Monitor stock, ordering, and supplier relationships Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards Step up and lead during Head Chef's absence Rotating roster with split shifts Position Requirements Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up Confident working in high-volume bistro or pub-style kitchens Ability to lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff Solid understanding of kitchen operations, stock control, and food safety Full working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available) Availability to work evenings and weekends as required To apply online, please click on the apply button.
