About the position The Accounting Business Partner is responsible for assisting the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer in preparing internal financial reports in an accurate and timely manner through the provision of competent financial analysis. The position will provide meaningful data and reporting to support Council's leadership in making business decisions and statutory reporting obligations. Key Responsibilities Carry out and/or provide assistance to reconcile general ledger control accounts. Prepare the annual budget and support ongoing quarterly forecasting. Prepare annual financial statements, supporting documentation, and statutory returns. Develop financial system reports for reporting analysis. Lead and support finance team members. About you Degree Qualification in Accounting, Business or Finance or comparable experience. Demonstrated substantial experience in an Accounting environment. Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement Legislation, Guidelines and Policies. Demonstrated intermediate competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software (or equivalent).
