Job Purpose This role will deliver the Project Accounting activities for CRN and will have substantial input into the budgeting, forecasting, and review of actuals in the Operational and Enhancement Teams. The Project Accountant will also ensure financial activities are delivered, achieved and carried out to meet requirements of the CRN operations. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day delivery of Financial Tasks ie; budgeting, forecasting, and meeting the KPI’s of the contract Assist in forecasting in relation to revenue and expenses. Preparing, analysing and submitting client specific financial and management reports Meet reporting requirements and deadlines. Working to optimise finance activities and ensure smooth delivery of the contract services. Maximise performance and capability and identify improvements. Create strong internal and external stakeholder engagement . This is a shared role between UGL Regional Linx and Transport Operations – the below responsibilities relate to Operations Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the role will be responsible for preparing the annual budget for relevant projects, providing finance support to the Transport Operations management team and completing all Joint Venture (JV) accounting requirements. Prepare financial reports in accordance with month end timetable Provide project reports and finance related operation reports including labour, overhead and material analysis Analyse and interpret financial results of JVs and communicate performance to senior management Manage overhead and tender spend cost centres, report on actual costs and analyse variances to budget and forecast Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and accountability of specified UGL accounts Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Business/Administration/Finance/Accounting Working towards CA or CPA qualified 3-5 years' experience in a similar field Strong Excel reporting skills - SAP experience advantageous About Us UGL is renowned for providing comprehensive engineering, construction, and maintenance services across various sectors, including rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables, water, and defense.
