The Burketown Primary Health Clinic is a rural health service based at Burketown. The service provides a comprehensive range of health services to the Burketown community. These include emergency care, community health, general practice services with the support of the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS), and supports visiting health services including allied health. About the role The Nurse Practitioner (NP) at the Burketown Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) provides advanced, autonomous nursing care to the Burketown community and across the North West Hospital and Health Service. Operating both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the NP delivers comprehensive, evidence-based health care to individuals and families. The NP is responsible for providing advanced professional and clinical leadership in the coordination and delivery of comprehensive and complex care, education and consultancy and portfolio management to ensure safe practice and high quality outcomes. Requirements Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences. It is a mandatory requirement to have a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or equivalent postgraduate qualification required for Nurse Practitioner Endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). C Class Motor Vehicle Licence. Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
