Internal Expression of Interest – Ministerial and Parliamentary Liaison Officer (Environment Officer Class 8) Ministerial Services Branch Strategic Policy, Science and Engagement – Strategic Priorities and Coordination DCCEEW Internal expression of interest Temporary opportunity to 10 July 2026 Full-time role at 35 hours per week FlexTime Parramatta office location - hybrid working supported Salary from $115,817.00 to $130,667.00 super leave loading As a Ministerial and Parliamentary Liaison Officer , you will be responsible for delivering tasks in a fast moving and high-volume environment. You will allocate, coordinate, review and edit parliamentary and ministerial documents including parliamentary notes, questions on and without notice and community issue briefs, ensuring they are comprehensive, accurate and delivered on time. You will be responsible for coordinating parliamentary questions on and without notice and community issue briefs. You will work closely with divisions across the organisation to manage workflows and meet Ministerial and Departmental expectations for timeliness and quality. Working in MSB provides a broad overview of governance and public policy, as well as valuable exposure to the mechanics of government. The role requires the ability to prioritise requests, manage workloads and exercise sound judgement, as well as supporting effective communications in both directions between MSB and business areas across the Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and positive person to join a dedicated and high performing team. About You Ministerial and Parliamentary Liaison Officers work in a high-volume environment with competing demands and tight deadlines, so strong organisational skills will be crucial to your success. You will have excellent communication skills. You will need to apply astute judgement and strong research skills and provide procedural advice to stakeholders. Building and sustaining excellent relationships and working collaboratively with team members and colleagues across the Department, as well as other stakeholders across Government, is essential in delivering the results that will be expected of you.
