The key duties of the position include The Role Defence Intelligence Group (DIG) Psychology is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated APS 6 Team Leader. This role provides an opportunity to broaden and apply your team building, leadership and administrative skills in a unique and interesting environment. In this role you will be a vital team member, enabling delivery of the Defence Intelligence Group's mission, and integral to driving efficiencies and innovation within the team and for the Group. You will be a team leader of DIG Psychology administrative and personnel assurance support staff, overseeing key organisational functions, as well as liaising with a wide range of customers and stakeholders, both internal and external to the DIG. This position requires high levels of judgement, responsibility and discretion, and is responsible for oversight, assurance and escalation of the DISA pipeline and other DIG Psychology activities and personnel assurance initiatives. The occupant of this position should have supervisory experience and be comfortable managing a small team of staff. About our Team DIG Psychology provides psychological services across the Defence Intelligence Group including wellbeing, mission and management support, and other security psychology related functions including the Defence Intelligence Suitability Assessment (DISA). DIG Psychology are a critical enabler for delivering the DIG mission and must ensure high levels of discretion, trust, care and judgment. The responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to: Positively manage and influence a team of staff; Provide tailored and complex protective security advice to internal and external stakeholder enquiries to enable the achievement of appropriate security arrangements; Mentoring of junior staff; Proactively manage priorities with minimal direction, seeking guidance as needed; Develop and foster positive relationships with partners, stakeholders and line areas; Drafting of internal policy and guidance documentation; and Identify and contribute to business process improvement activities.
