This role is a twelve (12) month, full-time contract opportunity, with possibility for extension or permanency. You will support the Joint Heads of Class Actions by driving operational excellence and contributing to a high-performing, client-focused team. You will gather insights and reports, coordinate key communications, and manage the legal area's meeting rhythm to deliver outstanding client outcomes. With a strong work ethic, you’ll take initiative, prioritise effectively, and help ensure we meet performance targets and deliver in full and on time. You’ll support both leadership and the wider team by assisting in client preparation, communicating clearly and professionally, and handling each interaction with empathy, clarity, and integrity. You will help foster a positive and inclusive team culture by embracing feedback, seeking professional growth, and encouraging continuous learning. You’ll also drive the adoption of emerging technologies and tools, supporting testing and training to improve practice efficiency and data quality. With empathy, adaptability, and initiative, you will support the Joint Heads of Class Actions by: Managing schedules, overseeing the meeting rhythm, and coordinating communications to ensure smooth legal operations. Monitoring compliance with key case management processes and driving continuous improvement using emerging technologies and AI. Analysing business reports and priorities, in addition to sharing these insights found, to help inform decisions and meet key deliverables. Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and following up on action items. Preparing high-quality presentations, reports, and business papers to support leadership and client outcomes. Handling confidential information, managing expenses, and supporting change management activities with discretion and professionalism. What you’ll bring Previous experience in a similar business operations role is desirable. Previous experience as a senior paralegal, or a similar role, in a national law firm is desirable but not essential for success. Previous experience in professional services industry essential (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Insurance, etc.) Proven project management skills essential. Proven skills in gathering and analysing reports to produce meaningful insights for senior leadership team members. Accurate typing skills with intermediate Word & Excel skills. A keen eye for detail in your document management and collation skills. You’ll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing. The availability to work Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5:00pm.
