Due to continued growth and upcoming succession within the team, Georgiou is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to be a part of our Pre-Contracts team's ongoing success and play a pivotal role in securing large-scale projects across Western Australia. In this role, you'll lead the preparation and coordination of competitive bids while taking full ownership of the methodology, project approach, risk and opportunity assessments for tender reviews, final submission and post-tender negotiations. You'll work on tenders typically valued at $50M-$200M, with a strong focus on civil complex infrastructure projects for key clients such as Pilbara Resource Clients. Your key duties will be to: Coordinate closely with the estimating team to develop a clear understanding of project scope, delivery methodology, project approach, client expectations and other technical & commercial intricacies Identify and coordinate risks and opportunity assessments and mitigation strategies Support the tender program and planner to ensure a robust and well-considered tender program that represents an achievable project duration. Support tender procurement and assist procurement leads and estimators with subcontractor and resource evaluations with the goal of optimising the tender input costs Support the tender review process and post tender negotiations by clearly communicating and presenting the methodology, program intricacies, value engineering options, procurement opportunities and risk assessments. Drive, influence and optimise tender concept designs for Design and Construct projects with a focus on value engineered and value-for-money outcomes for our clients. Prepare and oversee accurate, competitive, and high-quality bid submissions. Mentor and support junior estimators and engineers within the team. Keep up to date with market conditions, subcontractor pricing and innovations to drive a competitive edge. What you're good at: To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring: Experience in coordinating and/or running tool box meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders concerns Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently in client meetings and manage internal review processes. Experience of guiding and leading other engineers. Strong experience in analysing and understanding the implications of project programs. Sound understanding of commercial, contractual and financial principles relevant to major civil projects. High attention to detail, advanced time management and a collaborative, team-focused mindset. A tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, or similar (preferred but not essential).
