The Regional Director for South-East Victoria is responsible for supporting local implementation of national aged care reforms and operation of the aged care system, while managing relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The key duties of the position include Leading stewardship priorities and outcomes to support the operation of the aged care system and implementation of national aged care reforms in Victoria. Leading and undertaking activities to form a comprehensive understanding of the local landscape and context, including representing the Department at various stakeholder and community engagement activities. Providing local intelligence to program and policy areas on emerging priorities and implementation of key aged care programs, including via the use of relevant data. Leading efforts to ensure national policy responds to the needs of diverse communities, including First Nations communities in Victoria. Developing and maintaining relationships and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders (including older people and their families, providers, sector partners and peak bodies). Capability and experience in managing change and supporting others in a changing environment. Leading team members to respond to requests, including Ministerial correspondence and briefings, within the prescribed timeframes. Identifying learning opportunities for team members and empower them through delegation of tasks and providing opportunities to develop and extend their capabilities.
