About the role: The Senior Advisor is part of a small and adaptable team providing executive support and strategic advice to the CEO and Deputy CEO. The team works collaboratively across a range of areas including divisional coordination, approvals, advisory, governance, communications, reporting, and senior executive and Ministerial liaison. The Senior Advisor takes on complex project work, including provision of quality assurance, and assists with high priority risks and issues management. They are responsible for the provision of authoritative advice across a range of policy and operational areas in support of the division, CEO and Deputy CEO, and deal with sensitive issues in a confidential and authoritative manner. This is a varied role that works on all aspects of support to the CEO, Deputy CEO, Strategic Advisor and a busy division, with a particular focus on strategic coordination, problem solving and relationship building. About you: Can you demonstrate the following? Coordinate executive and government processes including, but not limited to, divisional coordination, Parliament, Cabinet, FOI matters and PAEC. Think critically to proactively and appropriately identify opportunities and use judgement to manage risk and escalate issues as required, having regard for confidentiality, political and environmental sensitivities, and interrelationships of stakeholders. Design and implement processes of continuous improvement and innovation of the division's business and operating models, as well as the systems, toolkits and processes that support delivery of our work. Prepare and present a variety of complex and accurate written materials including presentations, reports, briefs and communications, ensuring materials are high quality and fit-for-purpose. Identify recurring problems and prevent future recurrence by integrating solutions into work process. Qualifications / Specialist Expertise Specialist Expertise Knowledge of the department and its operating practices as well as government processes and information systems would be advantageous.
