As Information Governance Lead, you will be accountable for managing both strategic leadership and operational aspects of DPC's information governance framework. The role will ensure that information assets are managed in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with various parts of the organisation to apply information governance practices, address potential risks, and support organisational objectives through effective information management. What you'll bring to the roleYour relevant experience and your ability to:- Lead the development and implementation of DPC's Information Governance strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and legislative requirements.- Enhance the Information Governance Framework, including the update of policies, standards and procedures where required to ensure compliance with relevant legislations, including Public Records Act 20232, Information Privacy Act 2009 and Right to Information 2009 Act.- Provide strategic advice to internal and external stakeholders on information governance, data management, and other information management related compliance matters.- Lead the lifecycle management of records and information, ensuring compliance with Queensland State Archives requirements.- Lead the improvement program to ensure information meets Queensland Government Information Security Classification Framework (QGISCF) requirements.- Provide ongoing support and advice to staff on information governance polices, and best practices.- Support business stakeholders in using the enterprise Electronic Document Management Systems (eDRMS).- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, risk, and compliance teams, to ensure cohesive information governance practices.
