We're expanding our team and are on the lookout for a skilled Network Engineer to join our growing team in ACT. Requirements What you'll do: Lead and contribute to network infrastructure projects, including the deployment and optimisation of switching, routing, and application-level firewall solutions. Deliver network solutions within secure government environments, ensuring all activities align with strict access controls, compliance frameworks, and approved change management processes. Design, implement, and optimise BGP routing configurations, managing peering relationships to achieve high availability and efficient traffic routing. Develop and maintain secure site-to-site connectivity through the design and monitoring of IPsec VPNs, addressing encryption, authentication, and tunnel stability throughout project lifecycles. Manage project deliverables related to incident resolution and network restoration, performing detailed root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures. Plan and execute network change and upgrade projects, covering areas such as firewall policy design, routing updates, wireless access point rollouts, and infrastructure modernisation. Conduct performance assessments using monitoring tools to inform network enhancement initiatives, capacity planning, and security patching projects. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including network architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, and operational standards. Oversee wireless infrastructure projects to ensure consistent coverage, performance optimisation, and adherence to security and compliance requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant network solutions aligned with organisational and regulatory objectives. What you'll bring: Experience as a Senior Network Engineer In-depth knowledge of Cisco Routers, Aruba switches, Fortinet, Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls Thorough understanding of switching protocols including VLANs, Spanning Tree, HSRP/VRRP, LAG, and other switching protocols used in Enterprise Networks. Experience configuring Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, and Access Points. Experience with Voice and SIP call flow troubleshooting. Experience with Microsoft Teams and SBCs - Audiocodes experience is a bonus. In-depth understanding and experience of routing protocols. Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec Site to Site VPN's is a must. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. A quick learner with the willingness to learn and study in your own time to further your career.
