Job Description Farahs Legal - Junior Lawyer Role Who We Are We are Farahs Legal, a specialist commercial law firm specialising in litigation and dispute resolution, complex commercial and property matters, and a range of other areas. We act for clients large and small, predominantly in Australia but also internationally including Europe and Asia. The Opportunity The role available is a full-time permanent position, starting as soon as possible. You will be based in our Sydney CBD office. The role will involve you working with our Principal and other lawyers in many areas of practice, where you will be integral to interesting and complex legal matters including but not limited to contractual and commercial disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency matters and complex property matters. In this role, you will be client facing, attending court, briefing and working with barristers and being part of mediations and other conferences. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a new team member in the range of a graduate to a 2-year PQE solicitor. You must have a bachelor's degree in law, be based in Sydney and either be admitted to practice in NSW or be eligible to be admitted (including PLT students). We are looking for the right person to join our team. Someone who will work well with our existing team and our clients. In addition to being a competent practitioner for your level of experience, we require the successful candidate to share our dedication to our clients and matters, respect for our obligations and maintaining our firm’s culture. You will need to be able to work under pressure and subject to deadlines, in what can often be a fast-paced environment. You will also be involved in multiple matters at a time.
