About the role Davies Collison Cave is now recruiting for a patent associate/attorney with experience in the field of Life Sciences to join our Sydney office. Your day-to-day work will involve all aspects of private patent attorney practice, including liaising with inventors and clients; drafting and prosecuting patent applications; conducting searches; providing patentability, infringement and validity opinions; and providing strategic portfolio advice. In summary, you prepare, prosecute, analyse and provide opinions on patent applications relating to inventions in biotechnology. About You A PhD in a biotechnology-related discipline.Current registration as an Australian Patent Attorney and ideally a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience post registration.An excellent communicator with a strong command of written and verbal English.Demonstrated commitment to and interest in local business development.Are able to understand and critically analyse information and think laterally.Are well organised and self motivated.Committed to providing clients with quality advice and service.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
