This full-time, paid internship based in Canberra runs from January/February to December 2026 and offers an exceptional opportunity to develop your analytical skills, contribute to high-impact research, and work alongside Australia's leading defence and national security experts. About the Internship At ASPI, interns work alongside Australia's top defence and national security experts and contribute to public policy debates. As an ASPI Research Intern, you will: Assist our Defence Strategy, National Security, and Cyber, Technology and Security programs on in-depth research projects; Contribute to the organisation and delivery of major international conferences, roundtables and panel events with our events team; Gain exposure to ASPI's corporate and administrative functions, which are essential to the work of a professional policy institute.
