Your role will be to lead a team, driving the effective and efficient operation of all aspects of Investment Governance; on behalf of the Investment team and in the best financial interests of members. Reporting to our CIO, you will be a integral part of our vision of being a world class investments function and ensure robust governance, risk management, compliance and service provider oversight for the Investment team. This role is accountable for enabling the Investment team to identify and manage operational and regulatory risks, deliver on financial accountability obligations, and maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Investment governance and risk management: Lead Rest's Investment Governance Framework, provide advice on rights and obligations, and oversee the identification and management of operational risks in line with Rest's Risk Management Framework. Including participating in Board Investment Committee and Investment's Management meetings. Service provider and vendor management: Responsible for the governance of Investments SaaS, Technology, and Data vendors, ensuring support for Rest's resiliency requirements. Financial Accountability and compliance: Lead the delivery of Rest's Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) obligations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Prudential Standards. Conflict management and secretariat duties: Promote robust governance principles to manage conflicts of interest and operate efficient Investment team committee meetings. Continuous improvement and collaboration: Maintain and develop Investment Governance, partner with other executives to coordinate Board and Committee activities, and act as the central contact point for investment governance advice. Advisor: Act as the SME for Investment Governance within the Investments team and more broadly across Rest working with senior executives and the company secretariat team.
