Position: Sr. Network Engineer Security clearance Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 Key duties and responsibilities 1. Respond to network related incidents, implement changes and maintain the effective security and operations of ICT network technologies with the Parliamentary ICT Networks. 2. Support ICT network engineering tasks, contribute to planning decisions and ensure the sustainment and maintenance of the ICT Networking infrastructure. 3. Development and implementation of ICT network operating procedures and processes. 4. Ensure system availability and uptime, contribute to continuous improvement and innovation to enhance the service delivery experience. 5. Involve in driving forward planning and architecture, evaluate new technologies to determine suitability to solving business needs, ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place. 6. Disaster recovery planning and manage key vendor relationships. Technical skills Cisco Routers and Switches (configuration and management) Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) Certification – CCNA, CCNP(Desirable) Essential criteria 1. Demonstrated experience supporting network technologies. Ability to understand network principles, protocols, routing and technologies. Demonstrated experience in operating and sustaining secure networks in a Government ICT environment. 2. Relevant experience in ICT projects, contributing to planning and resourcing activities, as well as engaging with stakeholders on requirements. Remains flexible and responsive to changes in requirements. 3. 5 years’ experience managing and supporting networks in an enterprise environment including but not limited to switches, firewalls, LAN/WAN, Security, Load-Balancing and Wireless solutions. 4. Understanding of current Networking technologies and ability to map future/emerging technologies/industry trends and organisational outcomes.
