Job Description About the position: The position of Quality and Safety Manager is responsible for the development, management, implementation and review of Quality systems that ensure: An effective quality framework of documentation, reporting and control processes are in place; That there is a safe and healthy work environment; Full compliance with all relevant legislation and maintenance of ISO 9001, and program/service specific accreditation standards. More specifically this role will focus on key activities, including but not limited to: Ensure all business activities are compliant with the relevant standards; Ensure the work groups utilise the Quality Management Systems (QMS); Manage the establishment, review and implementation of effective QMS Control processes within business units; Consult with relevant Managers regarding implementation of systems, processes and documentation; Create and monitor auditing schedules for all business units/ programs; Monitor the effectiveness of all accreditation elements and identify gaps and/or areas for improvement against Standards; Manage all processes relating to maintenance of accreditation under ISO 9001:2015, Food Safety Act and Home Care Standards, AGPAL and Family Wellbeing program Standard; Coordinate Quality agenda items as part of the Senior Management Team meetings; Liaise and support the Management Team Facilitate mandatory training; Assist with inductions for staff. Desired Skills and Experience About you: To be successful in this position, we are seeking an individual which possess' the following: Substantial experience in CQI/ Administration roles (greater than 3 years); Experience with quality management systems; Desirable work experience in relevant Health or Community engagement/development programs. Demonstrated understanding of the ISO, HSFQ and Aged Care standards; Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety Legislation, policy and workplace procedures; Some work outside of normal hours of duty (including on call) may be required as well as some travel across the region; Current C Class Drivers Licence (Qld) - essential; Satisfactory Criminal History Check - essential.
