The key duties of the position include What you will do as a Senior Analyst Senior Analysts work under the limited direction of Assistant Directors or Directors and are responsible for a range of work which may include: Undertaking investigations and competition analysis of mergers across a wide range of industries, and presenting that analysis in recommendations to ACCC Commissioners and Senior Managers. Carrying out economic, legal or data advice and analysis. Conducting consultations with market participants and managing relationships with key stakeholders. Liaising with other Australian Government agencies and overseas competition and consumer agencies about the ACCC's mergers work. Supervising and developing junior staff. Assisting with the review of decisions by the Australian Competition Tribunal, assisting with litigation in the Federal Court including preparation of instructions for the ACCC's lawyers and liaison with expert consultants.
